Meet the Killin’ It Good skippers:

Captain E. J. Precourt

Capt. Precourt has been fishing off Cape Cod for many years. He started fishing at an early age while vacationing every summer at his family’s Cape house. His love for the ocean eventually took him to Massachusetts Maritime Academy, where he studied Marine Engineering. He currently works as a chief engineer for a major marine transport company.

In the summer months, E. J. spends most of his days on the waters around Cape Cod and the islands, fishing for bluefin tuna, striped bass, bluefish and sharks, either commercially or for recreation and chartering with the great tourists visiting Cape Cod. He dedicates most of his spare time in the winters to building fishing rods, creating new lures, working on the boat and reading numerous reports to try to gain an edge for the upcoming year. His love for the open ocean and the thrill of the hunt for that one world record fish keeps him highly motivated to become one of the premier fishermen in the Northeast.

In addition to spending time with his loving wife and three beautiful daughters (who also enjoy fishing), E.J. lives for the chance of reeling in the fish that could be “The One.” As a captain, E. J. would love to give you the experience of a lifetime, catching fish and creating lasting memories.

Captain Mike Brides

When it comes to striped bass fishing, Mike Brides is one of the best. Mike works in the merchant marine fleet as an engineer, but as captain of his own legendary 23-foot boat, he spends 90 percent of his summer days on the water fishing around Cape Cod and the islands. When he’s not out catching striped bass as a commercial fisherman, Mike is the mate for his best friend Captain E. J. aboard the Killin’ It Good. As roommates in college, Mike and E. J. spent most of their time on their studies . . . and on fishing. (On many nights, they would sneak out and fish the canal while the stripers were running in the spring.)

Mike looks forward to helping you, your family and friends enjoy the fun and excitement of fishing in the Cape Cod region – an experience like no other!

About Our Boat

Our 29-foot Sea Vee Center console with diesel power rides great in all kinds of seas. The boat is a proven fish magnet for stripers and bluefin tuna all summer long. She holds 150 gallons of fuel and cruises at 19 knots through any seas.

With the fuel efficiency and range of our boat, Killin’ It Good Sport Fishing Charters can move from spot to spot without worrying about fuel costs. The boat can travel to fishing spots further away and still be profitable, which makes both captains and charter groups successful.
