Q: Can we bring 7 people with us on the charter?
A: Unfortunately, no. Due to US Coast Guard regulations, 6 people is our limit on board (not including the captain and mate).
Q: If we book a 4-hour charter and want to stay out longer, is that possible?
A: If there is no other charter booked on the day of your trip, chances are that we can stay out longer (additional hourly rate will apply).
Q: Do the kids need to bring their own life preservers or will you provide them?
A: All safety gear is provided for everyone on our fishing charters. Any child under the age of 12 must wear a life jacket at all times.
Q: When will we know the exact times of our fishing charter and where we will we leave from?
A: Departure times vary for a couple of reasons. First, tide plays a huge role in all the fishing we do, and since the tide is different every day, we try to plan each charter during the best fishing times. Second, we try to leave from the place closest to where the fish are. (Having the 29 Sea Vee on a trailer gives us a huge advantage as we can leave from different places.) For these reasons, you will receive a phone call a couple of days before your charter with an exact location and time to meet.
Q: What happens if we’re late for our fishing charter?
A: Please don’t be late. We understand that things happen, but this is one time when you want to be early. If the captain says the charter starts at 8:00 and you show up at 8:45, then 45 minutes of the charter may be lost (i.e., you might only have 3 hours and 15 minutes remaining if you booked a 4-hour charter). If we don’t have more trips booked that day, your charter will still be the full time, but we generally book 2 or 3 charters a day, so it’s crucial that we keep to our schedule.
Q: Are there bathrooms on the boat?
A: We have a small marine toilet that we put on the boat for charters, but it’s best to use the bathroom before we leave.
Q: What if the Killin’ It Good team is late to the ramp for any reason?
A: We hope we’ll never be late, but if we are for any reason, your charter will last the full time you booked.
Q: What if our fishing charter gets cancelled?
A: If a charter is canceled by your group at least 7 days prior to the scheduled trip, your deposit will be refunded in full. If you cancel within 7 days of the trip, the deposit will not be refunded. If a charter is canceled due to bad weather, unexpected boat maintenance or an emergency for our captain/crew and we are unable to reschedule with you later in the season, your deposit will be refunded in full.
Q: How do I pay for our fishing trip?
A: After paying your deposit, you may pay for the balance of the charter at the time of departure. We accept Visa, Mastercard, cash or check for the balance of payment.
